I am here now, in Village Milk
Tea cafe, Selokan Mataram Area. As I said last night, I will share my
experiences in Jogja everyday. I begin like writing, because I can talk to
anyone about my feeling, my traveling, and my planning. A couple of minutes ago
someone came to my boarding house to bring me here. His name is Abha Mahulaw,
from Maluku province. He is my senior in IKYEP program. He said that we can
study and enjoy our time in this cafe. I am writing now to tell you about
pieces of my stories in a whole day.
I wake up about 4.00 am, like my
routine schedule, I went to mosque beside of my boarding house to conduct
shubuh pray. After shubuh, I back to sleep again, it was one of my bad habits
in recent days. I moved from my bed about 8.00 am, directly to open my laptop
to check my email. Maulidi called me at 9.00 am to persuade me to go to
swimming pool right now. I said to him to wait me an hour because I need
to prepare myself. He said that he could not, because he would join the TOEP at
12.00 am. Finally, I said to him please go first I cannot join for today. Three days
ago, Mirdat, Maulidi, and I went to swim. I brought them to conduct part of my
hobbies successful. We tried to relax before IELTS test.
I spent my time with much reading
in BBC News. There are two topics those I can remember now. Firstly, prince
William appeal to FIFA problem about the corruption conducting by FIFA officials.
It was a black history of soccer. Many donators disappointed to seven high class
FIFA`s leaders who arrested in a hotel in Swiss. Secondly, I read information about Mr.
Biden`s son died because of brain cancer. He was still 46 years old. Mr. Biden said
that his family sadness cannot be represented by the words. Mr. Obama and his
wife said that their condolence about this news. Mr. Biden is a vice president of USA now.
Several days ago my shoes lost in Mujahidin mosque. So, I went to Sunday morning market to buy the new shoes at 10.00 am.
Sunday morning market that we called Sunmor is the famous phenomenon market in Jogja
city. The market is very large and open every Sunday. It be held around Gajah
Mada University. It was so crowded place in this morning. Many people came not
only to buy something but also to meet their friends. Sometimes, this
market widely across UGM and UNY roads. Many Students sold their goods with enthusiastic.
I am proud of being a Minangkabau
young generation. Everywhere, when I visited, I met padang restaurants. In many
traditional market in other provinces, I heard Minang accent to sell their
stuffs. In Sunmor, I found them not only as sellers but also as consumers. Minangkabau
people spread entire the world. Generally, many of them are traders.
I walked too far to find the
suitable shoe for me. Finally, I stop in a barrack, I asked about the price, and
she told me Rp 60,000. I offered the shoes and she gave me Rp 45,000. I got it
and back to my boarding house.
Since I wake up this morning, my
headache has been not stopped. After maghrib, I though that I could not survive
because it was painful. I have to consume my medicine. I hated to use medicine
before. But, I took my paramex and finally it has been gone.
Just it for tonight, I will
come to the next day with different stories. Good night, I hope we catch a nice dream that it can be real immediately.
