A Part of My Stories in Jogja

A friend of mine said that writing skill will improve if we always practicing continuously. His name is Eko Saputra, from Bengkulu Province. He got 8 in his writing test on IELTS. I believe him, because for a long time I studied English there is no significant improvement about my English ability. I just reading louder and listening the audio, but I was very lazy to write. Today, I decide to change my habit. I will write anything every day. I will share my experiences during the day. I don’t care about my grammatical error, because I am a beginner writer. I believe if I concern to these activities slowly but sure my writing will be the perfect one.

I start my story now. I came to Yogyakarta a couple of months ago (February 2015) with aim to follow English preparation by LPDP Scholarship. I enjoyed with myself because I got the best mark when I finished my under graduate program. My major is Out of School Education. In my opinion, anything happened I will continue my master program in adult learning abroad. I did hard work to get the scholarship and I won my scholarship in October 2014. However, one of my faults was English proficiency. So, I am here now, ready to pick up my dream.

My friends and I followed IELTS examination this last morning. All of us obviously hope to get satisfaction in our score.  The day before, we conducted the speaking test with native speaker. I take my speaking test with Ms. Barbara. Firstly, I looked so confuse and then I can adapt myself to enjoy the test. Meanwhile, we conducted the listening, reading, and writing test this morning. I try to make myself as much as I can do. Finally we finished the test about 12.10 pm.

After the test, I and both of my close friends in IELTS class went to Mujahidin Mosque. I want to say that I have two close friends, they are Mirdat and Maulidi. Mirdat come from Aceh and Maulidi come from Madura (East Java). Three of us always go to mosque. When sounds of azan on air, we are directly go to mosque and wait each other. Sometimes, in the class, our lecturer wonder because we leave the class early. Because of the test, we ran to the mosque, we though that we were too late to conduct zuhur praying. Fortunately, we still got the jamaah and long prays after the praying. We hoped that we can get the good scores in  IELTS, because we are believe that Allah is the most powerful in the world. We cannot do anything if He is not allowing.

Maulidi persuade us to get lunch after the praying. We went to the restaurant that we have ever visited before. During the lunch as ordinary, Maulidi and Mirdat debate about a topic. I just smiled to them, because I know about their both stubborn. Mirdad is missing first, and he left me and Maulidi. But, we ignored it, because it was not the first time he did like that. Maulidi and I planned to go home. I back to the LPPMP UNY to take my bicycle.

I arrived in my boarding house about 2.30 pm. I just take a rested and open my facebook. I need to contemplate about my achievement during the 3 months. I miss my home village and I really want to come back as soon as possible. I told to my parents if I get the high score, I will leave for Padang. I just imagine that I can save my Ramadhan beside of my family. I lost my imagination when Ashar time enters in this afternoon and I have to take my wudhu.

These are my experiences during today. I will appreciate to whom giving feedback about my writing. The readers can criticize directly or send to my email.  Finally, now I find new pattern to increase my English. I hope it will be continued in the next day.
